The company’s continuing line of ZBOX mini PCs have always defied expectations and the newest generation of ZOTAC MAGNUS EK and ER series mini PCs are pushing another envelope by offering desktop graphics cards.
ZOTAC is proudly exclaiming that this is the first mini PC series ever to be built with desktop-sized graphics cards, empowering users with the best-performing desktop graphics is chassis as tiny as these itty-bitty gaming mini PCs. You’ll find this offered in both the MAGNUS EK and the MAGNUS ER series.
If you go with the MAGNUS EK series, you can get up to a 7th-generation Intel processor, Intel Optana Memory ready, and a desktop ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 or GTX 1060 graphics card. If you go with the MAGNUS ER, that ships with an AMD Ryzen processor, along with your choice of a desktop ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 or GTX 1070 graphics card. As a result, you get a machine that packs “the punch that rivals full-size desktop rigs twice their weight.”
Key highlights include up to 32GB of DDR4-2400 SODIMM memory, dual storage options (2.5-inch and M.2), two USB 3.1 Gen2 ports, HDMI 2.0 output, three DisplayPort 1.4, and whisper-quiet operation by way of a radial fan and smart thermal design. And yes, you can get them as part of available HTC VIVE bundles for VR gaming out of the box too.
