Video – Futurelooks Unboxes GIGABYTE’s 890FXA-UD5 AM3 ATX Motherboard

Futurelooks unboxes the little brother to the GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD7 XL-ATX board, the 890FXA-UD5. While baseline performance should be identical to the UD7 as they both use the 890FX AMD Chipset, the UD5 is a whole lot cheaper. It only looses out on a more aggressive heatsink design and two extra PCI-E slots for Quad CrossFire action. Since dual GPU graphics performance is more than plenty to play today’s most demanding games, it’s not really a huge loss.

One thing that is a huge benefit of the UD5 is the fact that this board is a standard ATX board while the UD7 was a weird XL-ATX design. This means that the UD5 can be installed in more cases than its big brother.
