It is now time for the us to move away from CES and look forward to the next big tech convention. To start us down the right path, Thermaltake has something we did not see at CES 2014 with two new additions to the Urban case Series with the Urban S1 and Urban SD1.
The two different sizes are both designed for high performance PC use in a small form factor. The Urban S1 is a tower design with a Micro-ATX form factor and focus, while its counterpart, the Urban SD1, is a Mini-ITX form factor with a desktop style design. Both still maintain the sharp edges, clean lines, and overall great look of the Urban series.
The Urban S1/SD1 have some great features to show off for the DIY crowd like myself. This includes a fully modular bay system where you can remove individual 3.5″ or 5.25″ bays as need for interior space. So if you need every bay for your home server or just one for that 4 TB in your gaming system, you only use what you need. This opens both cases up to a lot of possibilities when it comes to cooling and component selection.
The Urban S1 provides all the bells a whistles of your standard sized PC case for home use and that DIY gaming system. Thermaltake releases Micro Case – Urban S1/ SD1

The two 5.25” and six 3.5” drive bays design (1x hidden device compatible with 2.5” HDD & SDD) are built to fulfill storage expanding capacity. Urban S1 contains spacious room for standard CPU cooler, 4 PCI extension slots at the back for graphic cards, add-on, and support for special devices to make greater expandability.
