Kingston Technology’s HyperX team was on hand at PAX 2011 providing attendees with the chance to play against some pro gamers on some of their elite gaming systems. The had members from their gaming team pair up with a fan from the audience for some pwning all weekend. While we didn’t have the opportunity to get pwned by them, we did get you folks an interview with Randy Marsh about their latest HyperX SSD. Check out the video above (or directly on YouTube) for our one on one.

Kingston HyperX SSD

Originally seen at COMPUTEX 2011, the new Kingston HyperX SSD took a very long time to perfect and get to the market. The Kingston HyperX team has long since offered HyperX memory for gamers and enthusiasts alike so they didn`t just want to throw something out there that their fans wouldn`t enjoy. Now, they’ve stepped into the SSD market releasing their very first HyperX SSD. This thing really stands out among the competition.

This impressive looking new SSD uses the latest Sandforce SF-2281 controller paired with 25nm INTEL compute NAND flash. It offers blistering speeds with an impressive bundle that includes an external portable enclosure for a competitive $269.99 available now. It`s basically everything you need to upgrade to an SSD, both desktop or notebook, all in one box. Keep an eye out as we have completed testing in our lab and will be presenting you with the results very soon.

In the meantime, there’s plenty more to keep you busy at Futurelooks so make sure you keep an eye on the front page or on our YouTube Channel for more videos and overage from PAX Prime 2011 Seattle!
