Kingston Starts Shipping HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset

Are you ready to hear what you’ve been missing? Kingston has now announced that it has started shipping its new and improved HyperX Cloud II gaming headset. You might remember when we saw it at CES 2015 last month. In that video, we went over some of the key upgrades over the original Cloud, perhaps the most notable of which is the newly designed USB sound card audio control box.

The original Cloud was already pretty good, but it needed a good sound card in order to release its full potential. With the HyperX Cloud II, the in-line sound card is included, delivering hardware-based 7.1 virtual surround sound without the need for any drivers. You’ve also got independent audio and microphone volume control.

As we said at CES, the new HyperX Cloud II gaming headset is listed at $99.99, the same starting price of the original Cloud, which has now been discounted to about $79.99. It’s available in your choice of red and black or gunmetal and black right now with the limited edition white and pink version to follow soon.
