Yes, I fully realize that the majority of Futurelooks readers are more of the PC DIY kind of crowd. You like to build your own computers, piecing together the components that you want and putting them with the peripherals you desire. I get it. But then you look at an ultra curvaceous and ultra awesome number like the HP Envy Curved All-in-One PC and you wonder if you’d want to have one of these in your home or office.
It’s not going to replace the beast of a gaming rig that you’ve got right now, to be sure, but the HP Envy Curved All-in-One PC is going to turn a few heads. And this mostly due to two factors: the display is curved, which gives it a rather premium look on its own. And it’s also really wide, giving you a total horizontal space that’s roughly equivalent to about 1.5 monitors.
The ultra-wide 34-inch curved display offers a resolution of 3440 x 1440, so it’s not quite the equivalent of an ultra wide 4K. It’s more like taking a 2K monitor and making it 1.5 times as wide. And then curving it. The thicker bezels on the HP Envy Curved AIO are a bit of a turnoff, but the pair of curvy feet give it a more elegant look.
Behind the massive curved display are decent, albeit hardly outstanding specs. There’s a Skylake processor of either the Core i5 or core i7 variety, your choice of integrated or NVIDIA GTX 960A graphics, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and your choice of storage options. There’s the Intel RealSense camera for Windows Hello in Windows 10, as well as a total of six speakers.
Pricing starts at $1,799.99 with shipments to start on November 22nd.
