It looks like Corsair has decided to take a short break from making new products by bringing some of its seemingly neglected products up to standard. The new Ultra-Quiet RM Series is here to replace the beloved TX Series by bringing their latest high-end features to its mainstream lineup of popular power supplies.
The RM Series will cover all major price markets as the core PSU lineup for Corsair. Units will range from 450 watts to 1000 watts all with low-profile modular cables, whisper-quiet operation, improved 80 PLUS Gold energy efficiency, and Corsair Link monitoring capability. The Corsair Link Bridge Cable is included with the 1000 watt PSU and is optional for all the others. You can also buy option individually sleeved cable kits to match your system, giving you even greater customization for your PC.
Thanks to the MSRP ranging from $89.99 to $164.99 with a 5 year warranty, you don’t have to drop $200+ on a PSU to get the latest features. I am not sure if you can find a better overall package for a PSU considering all the great features of the RM Series. Every other PSU manufacturer better take note as Corsair is not pulling any punches here.

Corsair Announces Ultra-Quiet RM Series Power Supplies

The RM Series PSUs are designed to be exceptionally quiet even when delivering high levels of power. Built with low-noise capacitors and transformers, the PSUs feature a Zero RPM Fan Mode which only spins the PSU fan under the heaviest loads, allowing near silent operation in most everyday usage. The custom designed fan is extremely quiet at all speeds, allowing the PSU to remain remarkably quiet even while the fan is running.
Like all Corsair PSUs, the RM Series power supplies are designed with high-quality components and are guaranteed to deliver clean, stable, continuous power.
