As I can personally attest, dual monitors are a great upgrade for your desktop. There are many usage scenarios where a second monitor comes in very handy, especially in gaming the workplace. Knowing this, Philips has released a two-in-one monitor that has a very slim bezel between its display panels. So loved this monitor was at COMPUTEX 2014, that is was awarded the d&i Gold Award for outstanding innovation in the development of the world’s first virtually seamless Two-in-One Monitor.

Given the model name 19DP6QJNS, this dual 19″ display features two IPS panels supported by a single, highly adjustable stand. Each display has a choice of connectors, with display 1 featuring VGA and DisplayPort, and display 2 featuring VGA and MHL-enabled HDMI. This means that can use the second panel as either a second display for your computer and a display for your MHL compatible mobile device.

Pricing isn’t included in the press release below, but availability is noted to be sometime in fall 2014. Keep an eye on Futurelooks for this and more COMPUTEX 2014 coverage.
