It has been a few years since we got a brand new company to join in the competitive computer case market. This year the newly founded X2 makes their splash at COMPUTEX Taipei 2013 by showing off their great looking line of PC cases. The company is featuring two cases: The X2 6017 Silent Series and the X2 6019 MOD Series PC chassis.
The X2 6019 MOD series case (above) is looking to make a name for itself among high performance budget cases. Boasting high quality 0.6 SECC steel construction, and bearing a striking resemblance to the Cooler Master HAF932, it comes with three fans (two 140 mm and one 120 mm), a two channel fan controller, support for up to a 17 inch graphics card, and a patented partition-board for independent thermal management for CPU & GPU. The $107.95 US MSRP may help this case find a way to cut out a notch for itself amongst the competition.
Then we have the X2 6017 Silent Series PC case with its central focus being on low noise operation. The entire exterior seems to be brushed aluminum giving it a uniquely striking appearance. You will find only front and rear fan locations with the other three surfaces covered in sound-damping mats. The fan mount locations themselves come with silicone to reduce vibration.
While the interior is conventional, the $116.95 US MSRP case may have the swagger to sway buyers to the X2 6017 Silent Series.
