It has been quite some time since memory took a step forward or changed in any significant way. This year I have been seeing a trend of DDR3 RAM moving up in clock speed at an astonishing rate. Speeds we thought a few years ago would not be reached until DDR4 became a retail reality. ADATA’s new XPG V2 DRAM continues to prove DDR3 still has a lot of life left in it.
The new ADATA XPG V2 RAM is an update to the popular original XPG series. XPG V2 are 8 layer black PCBs with 2 oz. of copper and aluminum heat spreaders that employ Thermal Conductive Technology. The heat spreaders themselves will feature an eye-catching new design. They will be available in 2 modules kits of 8 GB and 16 GB with speeds of 1600 MHz, 2400 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 2800 MHz with the options of either Gold or a Tungsten grey color for the heat spreaders.
The ADATA RAM should match perfectly with motherboards that feature gold as a color (such as this one). I also expect the XPG V2 to be extremely competitive in pricing once available as is the case with most ADATA products. This might make them an attractive option even if your motherboard wasn’t touched my Midas.

Company’s New XPG V2 DRAM Impresses on Many Levels
