A short while ago, we had the Dell Inspiron 14z laptop in the Futurelooks labs. We gave you an unboxing video and then followed it up with a full review. What if you want something beefier, shinier, and more powerful? That’s where the XPS from Dell comes into play. Even the box is nicer!

To get a better sense of this step up the range, we now have the Dell XPS 15z premium notebook in the Futurelooks offices and that’s the unboxing video embedded above (or directly on YouTube). As with all Dell products, the exact specs can be customized to suit your needs and your budget. It starts with Sandy Bridge Core i5, but that can be bumped to dual core i7. There’s also discrete graphics (up to 2GB) and NVIDIA Optimus to extend your battery life. That shiny aluminum exterior might remind you of a certain Cupertino company too.

As always, I’ll be back with a comprehensive review in the next little while. In the meantime, be sure to follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for all the latest in computers and tech.
